Das lang ersehnte Final Fantasy MMORPG hat nun einen definitiven Release Termin. Square Soft hat bekanntgegeben, dass das Spiel für Windows Ende Oktober 2003 ausgeliefert werden wird. Das Besondere an FF XI ist, dass die Spieler der Windows und PS2 Version auf denselben Servern spielen werden, und FF XI somit neben EverQuest eines der ersten "cross-platform"-MMOPRG auf dem Markt sein wird.
