Was ist EverWars:
EverWars is a text-based massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) where players create warlord characters that battle each other in tournaments. Characters can be customized by armor, weapons and skill training which are purchased using gold collected when winning battles and by recruiting other players (squires) to EverWars. Squires are new players that are recruited when players post their recruitment links on other web sites. When people click on a warlord's recruitment link and start playing, the warlord will receive 10 gold for every level their squires gain.
Hintergrund:
It is a dark time for the land of Gilathion. Many decades have passed since the clan wars began and the once beautiful and fertile lands have been scorched and ravaged. The wars have brought great hardship to the people of all kingdoms in Gilathion. No longer do they fight for greed and honor, they now fight for food and water and for their own survival.
Gilathion was once the most powerful land in the known world but the wars have weakened it and rumors of invasions by neighboring lands have run rampant among the people in all of the kingdoms. Fearing the rumors would eventually come true if something was not done soon, Aganon, one of the original great warlords, called for a truce and arranged a gathering of all the remaining warlords. It was at that gathering that hope returned to the land of Gilathion.
Aganon announced a bold plan to end the wars and rebuild the land of Gilathion so that it would be protected from outside invaders. His plan called for a large battle arena to be built at the center of Gilathion which was deemed neutral territory. Within the battle arena, warlords representing all of the kingdoms would gather and fight to determine the leader of Gilathion. Every month, a new battle tournament would begin, producing a new leader of the kingdoms for the next month. It was Aganon's hope that this would not only end the wars but also make sure that the land of Gilathion would always have a strong leader capable of defending it from being invaded. Though many warlords were unsure of the plan, their losses from the clan wars and the threat of invasion convinced them to agree to it.
The tournaments of battle became known as EverWars.
