David Bowman postete in den IGN Boards einige interessante Infos über den Stand der derzeitigen Beta Phase III.
"Hardware availability has delayed us from moving further forward with Beta III ... Game development has not been impacted by this delay, only the timing of our server stability testing. We continue to be on schedule for a Fall release ..."
Hier der gesamte Post: [more]
"We've been concentrating on our Beta III participants a lot lately and have neglected to keep people outside of the Beta up-to-date.
We are still in early Beta III... Beta I and II participants only.
Hardware availability has delayed us from moving further forward with Beta III. Specifically router modules that were on back-order and our second full shard. We've learned a lot through this process and hope to avoid similar issues in the future.
The hardware has now been installed and is being tested.
During the delay we took advantage of the time to increase our monitoring code so that we would have even better tools to gain information from Beta III.
Game development has not been impacted by this delay, only the timing of our server stability testing. We continue to be on schedule for a Fall release. We have not announced any specific date of release nor will we until we are confident that we will have a stable launch.
When the hardware and server software have been through a thorough internal Quality Assurance test I will meet with Atari and we will then be able to agree on starting the flow of CDs to Beta III participants.
Atari has been entirely patient and understanding through this entire period and has only insisted on a quality experience for our Beta participants.
We would choose to continue to hold the CDs if we were to find any further issues that would prevent Beta III from being exactly what it needs to be to assure a quality launch.
If you have any questions related to what I've just said, please post them below and I will attempt to address them tonight. Please do not ask questions not related to this specific issue in this thread.
